Bon Jovi

Just had to show off our shirts before the road trip home. The concert was excellent - Bon Jovi themselves were on stage for the best part of 2 & a half hours! Was well worth it. Had a birthday drink (or 2) after midnight.

Cathedral Bells & Windows, and the Tram.

Took a photo of the bells in the cathedral coming back down the tower. Also here's a photo of a couple of the windows. We then went on the Tram. It was a good way to pick up on a little more local information. The front of the art gallery was amazing with all it's windows and sculptures out the front. Not a good place to throw stones!

The Cathedral

We paid a visit to the cathedral, but there was a busking contest on in the Square, so I couldn't get a photo of the front of the cathedral. Liz & I went up all 134 steps to the 4 lookout towers. It's rather an experience for someone who doesn't like heights - But - I did it! Never actually gave it much thought until we started going up - OOoops.

Christchurch Gondola 27/01/08

Our first weekend away with no children!! We went to the Bon Jovi concert (along with 30000+ other fans) in Christchurch. We travelled up on Saturday & on Sunday we started our day with the Riccarton market (Great place!). We then went to the Gondola... Enjoy these photo's.

Mataura River 19/01/08

Had another great night out fishing on Saturday. The fish were playing hard to get, and the children ended up taking a swim. Logan took the opportunity to create his own play, and was floating some boats!

Was a lovely evening... (Would have been better with fish!) Next time maybe!

Swimming....

Thought I'd paste a few swimming photo's, so you can all see where we are heading on nearly a daily basis. Reuben's confidence has boosted so much! He is actually doggy paddling with flippers & staying afloat (bonus). Logan is happy to cruise right around the pool on his board! Two thirds of the pool they can stand up in, and then the remainder is 1.7M deep - so it is nice for the adults too.

Champagne Breakfast 01/01/08

We thought it would be a good idea to crack open the grapejuice for the kids & us adults started the year off with a bottle of wine to have with our breakfast.

Cheers everyone!

The Sparklers & Fireworks

The Children had a go with some sparklers, and at midnight we all enjoyed Nigel's fireworks display (thanks!!) Check out Liz in charge of the "08" sparklers......

Where did that last year go???

Happy New year Everyone!

New Years Eve 2007!

We went & had New Years Eve away at Liz & Nigel's last year. We took the caravan & Abbey out for the night. We had a BBQ tea & later on some roasted marshmallows for the kids (& Shane) amongst a few beverages & nibbles of course! It was a great night!
